What aRE chemically defined mediA?
Chemically Defined Media, or CDM, are media for cell growth made from only recombinant proteins that do not contain any components of animal origin or of unknown structure or weight such as extracts, plant hydrolysates, BSA, or HSA.
Do you use FBS?
No, we don’t use any animal derived components in our media. For instance, we make a chemically defined media for hMSCs called CellCor™, which is 100% serum-free and as such does not contain Fetal Bovine Serum.
Can I get a sample before I buy?
Yes, of course you can get a free sample! It’s a easy three step process. First, fill our our free trial request form. Second, an Xcell Therapeutics representative will reach out to you to discuss your intended use of the product sample. Third, we’ll prepare and sign a Material Transfer Agreement. Once these three steps are complete, we’ll ship you your sample!
Does CellCor™ need a supplement?
Do you make customized cell media?
Yes, we make customized media to best fit your needs. We can either provide you with the basal medium so you can tailor it to your work on your own, or we can make a custom media using our techology that is tailored to the context of your work. For instance, if you work with exosomes or have an experiment that requires certain components be absent from the media itself, we can make just the right solution for you. If you’re interested in custom media, send us a message with some details about your work and we’ll get in touch with you to make the best media solution for you.
